Girls Varsity Basketball Program Week
Open to girls ages 13 – 16 who already play or plan to play Varsity Basketball
Program only runs during the 2nd and 3rd camp weeks in White Plains
Philosophy of the Program
This program is restricted to higher level players. There will be numerous 15 and 16 year olds who already have JV or Varsity experience. For 13 and 14 year olds to compete at this level they should be very strong AAU players who have preferably played on modified teams in middle school and have definite plans to try out for varsity in the future. A team of coaches led by Sue Adams and Deb Flooks of White Plains High School will take these girls through daily drills and skill development exercises that simulate real varsity practices. In addition, coaches familiar with the women’s college game will offer insight into the skill level and determination that will be required to play at the next level. Space is limited. If you are new to this program and not sure if it is right for your daughter please contact Executive Director Noel Muyskens.

Key Elements of the Program
- The goal is to increase overall skill level of each player
- Campers can expect to work on offensive movement, guard and post play, individual and team defense, ball handling, shooting, and rebounding
- Emphasis on applying individual skills to game situations
- Fun drills and competitive team play
